Rukundo Joshua

Rukundo Joshua is the current Chief Executive Officer of Kigezi coffee Development Academy and head of the Secretariat.

Joshua holds A bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management 0f Uganda Christian University with specialization in trade policy and law. He has interest in community Development. Public policy and good governance studies. He is passionate about reaching out to the community and he has demonstrated this both in his research and advocacy work and training of the Rural Farmers in the rural areas of Uganda. Joshua is Championing a move aimed at moving from Adaptation to resilience (Coffee and Climate Change) among the rural farmers.

Joshua identifies that the Coffee Industry widely recognizes that climate change poses a significant challenge for smaller holder farmers around the world, the reason he is training farmers to plant more trees, protecting wetlands and practicing Good agricultural Practices. Joshua is also the Chairperson Kanungu District Young Farmers Association and the Delegate to the National Young Farmers Association where he participates in the Shaping the future of Agriculture especially for young Farmers.

Joshua is youth leader and is the Current Secretary Finance Kanungu District Youth Council and Delegate to the national youth council where he liberates on national and international affairs affecting the youth of Uganda.

Joshua is an alumina of the European Union- East Africa Community Market access Upgrade of Quality improvement project for Coffee and Cocoa. Where he trained as a Quality Champion for Coffee and Cocoa with Technical Support from the International trade Center. Where Joshua obtained Knowledge and Skills on Compliance with International Laws and regulations, quality Control, Planning, Improvement, Assurance, Management and Standardizing work at different enterprises.

Joshua is also a member of the Youlead Summit, that brings together more than 200 young leader from Eastern Africa to discuss issues in Governance, Agriculture, Arts and Music, Sports and Culture. Where Joshua has presented papers on Youth in Agriculture basing on his personal story. He also believes that farming can create more Jobs for the young people that any other sector in the whole world, and that the future development of Uganda will largely depend on the contribution of young people in Agriculture for both Food and Cash Crops.

Arinaitwe Dickson

Arinitwe Dickson is currently the field officer/coordinator for KCDA. Dickson holds a diploma
in sustainable Agriculture. He also did a certificate in Sustainable Agriculture from Nkunda
University. He is currently coordinating over 100 coffee farmer groups with an average number
of 30 coffee farmers in each Group.

Kwizera Joel

Kwizera Joel is a graduate of Mass communication of Uganda Christian University.
